Bio

Cassie Ulrich completed her third season as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for the DU women's soccer team in 2025.

2025

  • Helped lead Denver to a share of the Summit League regular-season title, the program's ninth overall
  • Registered a win over a top-25 opponent for second consecutive season (2-1 over No. 25 Colorado State on September 14)
  • Finished 9-5-4 on the season including 5-2-0 at home and 6-1-1 in the Summit League
  • Coached starting goalkeeper Alina Santos to five clean sheets and 77 saves, the seventh most by an individual DU keeper in a single season in the program's DI history

2024

  • Helped lead Denver to the second overall seed in the Summit League tournament, entering the postseason on a five-match unbeaten streak
  • Coached team to upset win at then-No. 24 Texas AM on August 21, Denver's first-ever road win at an SEC opponent
  • Opened season with a narrow 1-2 loss to eventual NCAA national champion North Carolina on August 15
  • Finished 11-6-2 on the season including 4-2-2 at home and 5-1-2 in the Summit League
  • Helped lead Ella Frost to Summit League Midfielder of the Year honors
  • Coached Denver's two goalkeepers (Molly Wissman and Alina Santos) to six combined cleansheets including three in a row from August 25 - September 1

2023

  • Helped lead Denver to its fifth-straight Summit League regular-season title and its eighth overall
  • Coached team to two wins over Power-5 teams (4-2 vs. NC State, 2-0 at Oregon); earned 3-3 draw at [RV] Milwaukee
  • Finished 9-2-7 on the season including 7-1-2 at home
  • Helped lead freshman goalkeeper Molly Wissman to 18 starts in 18 matches played, logging six cleansheets and 1.21 GAA

  • Named West District Coach of the Year in 2021
  • Coached team to NJCAA national tournament semifinal appearance in 2021 after posting 16-4-1 record

  • Led team to program's first NCAA Division III National Championship
  • Finished with 22-0-1 record with 13 shutouts and allowing only 11 goals
  • Coached team to three All-America honors, five All-Region awards and seven All-UAA selections

Chicago Red Stars Assistant Women's Soccer Coach (2020-21)

  • Reached 2021 NWSL Final and 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup Final
  • Also served as Head Women's Soccer Coach for Chicago Red Stars Reserves and won WPSL Great Lakes Conference championship

University of Chicago Women's Soccer Assistant Coach (2015-17)

  • Finished with combined record of 53-13-1 during the three-year stretch
  • Qualified to NCAA Division III tournament all three seasons including 2016 semifinal and 2017 final appearances
